Once again the hypocrisy of politics trotted out the former womanizer-in-chief Bill Clinton to rustle up votes for Democrats around the nation. And in large part, it worked. Good for morally challenged politicians. Bad for society.
I mean, honestly, Bill Clinton?Ā
We know what he did.Ā
His sperm on that blue dress proved it. Those were the bad old days when girls in the White House were prey.Ā
Hereās the irony of it all.Ā
Just days after the election, the wife of Democrat California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Siebel, found herself in a Los Angeles courtroom testifying against disgraced filmmaker Harvey Weinstein. She told the court that she was raped by Weinstein in 2005.Ā
Weinstein used the Bill Clinton defense, saying Californiaās first lady had actually had consensual sex with him, you know, because young women often want to copulate with overweight men three times their age.Ā
You see where Iām going here?Ā
Weinsteinās behavior is criminal. The Academy Awards would never honor him with a lifetime achievement award.Ā
Yet, many āwokeā Politicians think it is just fine to lift up Bill Clinton when it serves the greater good of electing Democrats.Ā
Given whatĀ Siebel Newsom has been through with Weinstein, would she and her husband ever hit the campaign trail with Bill Clinton?
I would sincerely hope not.Ā
But that scenario is sadly on the horizon if Gavin runs for president in 2024.
Look, even if you think Billās behavior fell short of criminal behavior, heās still a womanizing troll unfit for celebrating in civil society.Ā
Letās keep that leg-humping old hound dog on the porch, because the distinction between Bill Clintonās behavior with vulnerable women and Harvey Weinsteinās is a distinction without a difference. Time to stop pretending one manās a grotesque pervert and the other is a role model for boys and girls everywhere.
Bill Clinton, right, and Harvey Weinstein, left. Young women love having sex with old men three times their age, right?Ā
DIRTY AIRLINE SECRETS
Some ātipsā for flying commercial airlines are pretty much intuitive. For example,Ā the floor of the plane is absolutely filthy. Donāt go barefoot and for gawdās sake if you drop your mint, donāt pick it up and pop it back in your mouth. Also, the blankets and pillows on flights are rarely washed and cleaned.Ā
But I learned some stuff I didnāt know in a piece on the secrets of flight attendants. For example:
ā Donāt drink airplane coffee. The water comes from the onboard system and the fill port is right next to the port from which the lavatories are drained. E coli contamination is a common thing. (Well, ick!)
ā When the cabin crew stands at the entrance to greet you, theyāre not trying to be nice. They are judging you as to whether they might have a problem passenger. So, be good.
ā Flight attendants can be personally fined if they fail to tell you to fasten your seat belt when the seat belt light is on.Ā
ONE LAST POLL LOOK
Itās instructive to look at the last University of Nevada poll, which got the governorās race and the U.S. Senate race bassackwards.
The poll predicted Gov. Steve Sisolak and Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto would win re-election, with the governorās race close but the Senate race a runaway.Ā
Turned out thatĀ Republican Joe Lombardo ran away with the governorās race, and Cortez Masto narrowly squeaked out a victory.Ā
Whoops.
ONE MORE THING
ā I fear elevators and Iām taking steps to avoid them.
ā A driver was pulled over for throwing a pickle at another car. While not your Vlasic case of road rage, it is still Claussen quite a commotion.Ā
ā DAD: We are not feeding that feral cat! ALSO DAD: I set up a heated cat house in the backyard and put up a camera so we can make sure sheās safe.
